CARTOON SERIES

These creations were created during my first interaction with Procreate - digital drawing. These cartoon-like drawings were created by experimenting with brushes, colors, shadows and highlights. I get my inspiration from everyday people and enjoy making specific characteristics stand out. The cartoons have ensured that I started illustrating more during projects (personas, visualizations in the designs, etc.)

CHRISRMAS WRAPPING PAPER (contest by Anna + Nina)

With the holidays approaching, Amsterdam-based lifestyle brand Anna + Nina asked their followers on social media to design the Christmas wrapping paper for 2023. I designed a paper for this using digital drawing on procreate. I paid attention to the current branding of Anna + Nina (use of colors and style). Therefore, the inspiration was gained by the use of red and pink color in combination with the appearance of 'Amsterdam' to bring out the origin of the Anna + Nina brand and appearance as much as possible, even in the Christmas atmosphere.

CUSTOM DESIGNS

From menus to personalised postcards and posters, I design and illustrate personalised items on commission. I do this working with my own style and using chalk brushes built-in with digital design via procreate and Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign.

DANCE BARENDRECHT (freelance designer)

I have been dancing at Dance Barendrecht for more than 10 years and have experienced their growth as an association. The rise of social media and the growth of the association created a need for various forms of communication. 2 years ago I started as a volunteer for the association, creating a corporate design and designing various printed materials (brochures, posters, flyers) for various purposes (shows, competitions and class information).

A sketch series inspired by and created from my solo trip to Portugal in May 2023. Rediscovering the joy of drawing from my childhood. Combining joy with memories in sketches made with blue chalk brushes.
